Ariel Helwani‘s recent comments about the UFC color commentator Joe Rogan made massive headlines recently. However, it all started with the ‘JRE host’ stating that Helwani lures things out of the people visiting his podcast. This comment didn’t sit well with the noted MMA coverage personality, Helwani, who fired a barrage of verbal shots at the 55-year-old UFC commentator.
Recently, Rogan was joined by the noted political commenters and podcasters, Krystall Hall and Saagar Enjeti on one of JRE’s episodes. The trio talked about a volley of stuff where Rogan also answered one of his mockeries previously made by Helwani.
Joe Rogan addressed the UFC supremo as a brother
Many in the MMA world might have a lot of accusations about the UFC supremo, but Rogan would happily ignore all the negativity about White. In a recent episode of his podcast, the 55-year-old stated, “That guy is my brother”.
The JRE host is also one of the longest-tenured employees of the UFC. It was evident that Rogan had been through quite a few good moments with the UFC boss. Also, no news about any feud between Rogan and White has ever surfaced to date.
It was apparent that the former martial artist knew White quite well. He stated, “I’ve never said a bad thing about him. If I didn’t know him if he was some a**hole that lived in some other country, I’d talk sh*t about him like I talk sh*t every day”.
But it was probably Rogan‘s positive experiences that made him refrain from uttering anything untoward for his employer.
The seasoned comedian further stated, “But, I love that guy to death and I’d never say a bad word about him”.
Joe Rogan approved Ariel Helwani’s accusations in a way
After Hall’s iteration about Kamala Harris, Rogan started to talk about how cronyism works in the real world. The former Fear Factor host stated, “There’s just a thing that happens when you’re connected to someone. Whether you’re connected financially or you’re connected in a friendship way. That’s why cronyism works”.
Rogan also gave examples of his own life. It is a known fact that Joe Rogan has gained a lot from his tenure with the UFC. Rogan has always been grateful to the UFC boss Dana White for selecting him for the position.
The seasoned standup comedian stated, “Look, I can give you examples of it in my own life. If anybody ever comes to me with any kind of criticism of Dana White, and I’m like, ‘you’re going to the wrong guy’”.
It will be interesting to note how Helwani reacts to Rogan’s comments if he does at all.
