Toronto Best Spas Reviews Images

Thinking of a break to Toronto? Don't forget to check out one of the city's fabulous spas: they're among the best in the world. We found three spas for three budgets, so whether you're looking for an in-and-out manicure or an all-day luxury pamper session, you're in for a treat in Toronto.

The Shangri-la Miraj Hammam Spa… (aka heaven)

What's the deal? Tucked away inside one of Toronto's most luxurious and beautiful hotels, the Miraj Hammam Spa is one of Toronto's real gems. Despite only being in the city for five days, we spent a decent portion of our time inside the dark, cosy, atmospheric rooms inside the Miraj.

The spa is a labyrinth of rooms, all with a French-Moroccan vibe (that, surprisingly, works extremely well), including two private Hammams, and several rooms with special features, such as a private terrace that overlooks the city.

We trialled the Hammam treatment and Caudalie Facial, both of which we'd recommend a thousand times over. You'll de-stress with time in a private high intensity steam chamber, and then move into a low mist steam chamber where your therapist will give you a full body 'Gommage' (exfoliation). You'll feel completely cleansed and rejuvenated after your Hammam - we were so relaxed we fell straight to sleep in the cosy relaxation suite.

The Caudalie facial is tailored to meet your skins needs, combining steaming, massage and masque treatments to work on hydration, texture and appearance. If you're anything like us, you'll slip between the gorgeous dark silk sheets and drift off, waking up to brighter, softer skin.

Our favourite touch? The signature blended tea and baklava that replace the usual lemon-water or juice after the treatments in the relaxation suite. Heavenly.

PS. The fitness suite is well worth a visit too, the pool boasts fantastic views of the city, and the individual lounges have private televisions for a quick media hit during your day of pampering.

Stillwater Spa at the Park Hyatt… (downtown & divine)

What's the deal? With 17 treatment rooms, couple's massage room, aqua treatment room, steam and sauna, there's something for everyone at the classic Stillwater Spa. If you know what you like and you like what you know, try one of the gorgeous signature treatments for a massage or facial that'll measure up to any you've tried.

It's the perfect spot for day of pampering, whether with a friend or loved one - you can meet up in the spacious tea lounge before and after your treatments.

If you're looking for the ultimate skin treat, try the Vital Awakening Facial, an anti-ageing treatment that instantly plumps and smooths skin, using marine collagen, sesame, avocado, and macadamia nut oils. Speak to your experienced therapist before your treatment and they'll tailor your facial or massage to suit your specific needs. We had a fantastic therapist who made us feel instantly at home - so much so we didn't want to leave.

PS. You're in a great spot at the Park Hyatt for a spot of retail therapy. Why not make the Stillwater Spa your treat at the end of a hard day's shopping? While we were in town we met up with Wendy Woods, a stylist and personal shopper who took us on a fantastic tour of Toronto's brilliant vintage shopping scene. Prepare to spend.

Elmwood Spa… (fab with friends)

What's the deal? A one-stop-shop for all your relaxation needs, Elmwood Spa is the ideal destination for a spa day with friends.

Grab a group of girls, head to Elmwood and set up camp for the day. The treatments are reasonably-priced and there is a huge variety on offer, so there will be something for everyone you're with.

Our favourite part? The gorgeous blue-tiled whirlpool in the centre of the women's locker room is the perfect place to set up camp and catch up on all the latest gossip in between treatments. You can each go off and enjoy your treatments and then reconvene for a whirl or a steam or sauna.

PS. While you're in the area, pop in to visit the Bootmaster shop on Yonge and stock up on cowboy boots.
