Are you one of the millions of people who devoured the novel The Last Thing He Told Me? Are you brimming with excitement for the AppleTV+ series adaptation starring Jennifer Garner? Same.
Laura Dave’s best-selling psychological thriller was first a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick before Witherspoon, seeing the novel’s immense popularity, bought the rights to adapt The Last Thing He Told Me through her production company Hello Sunshine. Now that miniseries is almost here. Here is everything we know.
Who’s in the cast? The miniseries adaptation of The Last Thing He Told Me stars Jennifer Garner as Hannah and Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as her husband, Owen—who mysteriously disappears, leaving Hannah and his daughter, Bailey, played by Angourie Rice, searching for answers.
The official website for the show lists only Aisha Tyler, Augusto Aguilera, Geoff Stults, and John Harlan Kim as costars, but it doesn’t look like this is the complete cast.
When does it premiere? The good news is that The Last Thing He Told Me does have an official release date. According to AppleTV+, the show is set to premiere on 14 April, 2023. The Wrap reports that the first two episodes will drop on the 14th, with new episodes coming out every Friday until 19 May.
Is there a trailer? On 9 March, AppleTV+ dropped the first trailer for the series. As Hannah, Garner hunts down clues about the mysterious disappearance of her husband while forming a bond with her stepdaughter, Bailey (and wearing some seriously cosy-looking turtlenecks).
