OnlyFans has been pivotal for Nita Marie.
When the single mom joined in 2019, she was eligible for food stamps and borrowed cash from her boyfriend for gas. But just six months after joining OnlyFans, during the throes of the pandemic, she found herself earning a whopping $40,000 a month.

But the OnlyFans creator was also wise to invest 20% of her monthly earnings back into buying "shoutouts." Creators buy and sell "shoutouts" to advertise their and other creators' pages on OnlyFans and on other social-media platforms, like Twitter and Instagram. Many content creators rely on the cross-promotional practice for follower and income growth.
While other OnlyFans creators have experimented with their pricing, Nita Marie's pricing hasn't changed since she joined the platform. The OnlyFans creator, who has roughly 56,000 followers, offers a $3.75 option up front to access content initially, with $14.99 monthly payments afterwards. Marie also has three subscription options: $26.98 for three months of access, $49.47 for six months of access, and $89.94 for 12 months of access.
"It's just what I decided to do because it wasn't too expensive, and when you subscribe as a paid subscriber, it's less than a cup of coffee, you know?" said Marie, referring to the $3.75 up-front option.
Subscribers can view content posted on Marie's main page wall. In addition, the creator charges $5 per photo and $7.99 for a bundle of five solo premade videos. For personalized videos, the OnlyFans creator charges $75 for one-minute videos and $175 for videos ranging from five to seven minutes. Texting sessions ranging from seven to 10 minutes are priced at $150. Meanwhile, for $50 a month, users can avail of a VIP package where they have access to unlimited chat, and personalized photos and videos.
Marie now makes over $100,000 a month from OnlyFans before taxes and after the platform takes its 20% cut. Insider verified the creator's income via documentation provided by Marie.
By August 2021, Marie had begun to think about expanding to different platforms, launching an account on the OnlyFans-like site Fansly — a move she made after OnlyFans announced the previous month that it planned to ban explicit content. (The platform backtracked on the controversial decision several days later.)
On Fansly, Marie offers several price tiers for more fetish-focused content, some of which is not permitted on OnlyFans. Pricing starts at $3.75 for a one-month basic subscription to view some of her content and renews at $14.95. For a bundle of videos and photos, she charges between $7.99 and $9.99. Marie currently earns nearly $8,000 a month from Fansly, a small fraction of her income on OnlyFans.
This July, Marie joined SextPanther, a platform where adult creators can conduct video, phone, and text-based chats with fans. She charges $1.75 per text-based message, $5 per photo, and $8 per video. (She doesn't do video or phone-based chats.) Marie has earned $12,000 on the platform to date.
While the OnlyFans creator, who has 1 million Instagram followers, wants to double her income eventually — she just joined another OnlyFans-like site called IsMyGirl — Marie has a long-term goal in sight. She has secured a $4 million loan to purchase 1,300 acres of land in Woodland Park, Colorado, which she wants to transform into a wildlife sanctuary.
"I've just always loved animals," Marie said. "I want to help preserve nature and wildlife. That's the biggest impact I hope to make."
