Important Travel and Access Information Reminder - Sunday 1st March 2015

Coventry’s Half Marathon will be taking place on Sunday 1st March 2015. The half marathon is an annual event in the city’s calendar which this year has attracted a record of almost 4,000 entrants, many of whom are fundraising for local and national charities.

Using Coventry’s streets for the race will cause changes to usual traffic routes for a limited period on Sunday 1st March. In planning the event every effort is made to minimise the disruption caused with the closing of roads. Where closures occur, and where possible, diversions will be in place to ensure continued access around the city for motorists and public transport. To aid the flow of traffic prior to the race start, a number of crossing points will be in operation; these are detailed on the map overleaf.

Please note, once closures are in place, no vehicles will be permitted on to the race route (other than at crossing points) until closures are lifted.

An updated copy of the 2015 travel and access map is above. A number of crossing points on the route have been identified that will be left open for as long as possible to aid the flow of traffic on event day. Please note the specific timings detailed for these.
